Here's a wonderful follow up story..."Hello! I wanted to take a minute to give you all an update on a dog that I adopted from you guys in June of this year, June 13th area I believe. A male Anatolian shepherd mix, who was about 6 months old. We named him Tegley, and brought him home to live with us and our 14 year old Staffordshire mix female, Precious. He is doing great. He was actually a little over 4 months old when we got him, said my vet, and he seems to be mixed with mastiff. Holy cow he's getting big! Ten months old and he's already almost 100 lbs and outgrowing XXlarge dog doors. He just loves to terrorize the old girl, and she seems to like the attention. They snooze together, go for walks together, and eat each others food. He's very active and super snuggly for 100lbs, but also very gentle and easy going for a pup. He has great fun with my toddler, and so far his favorite activity seems to be stealing only left shoes. He's so friendly to everyone he meets. I have noticed he has a few severe phobias, however. The smell of fire and smoke, water and water hoses. I wondered if maybe he was in a fire or something prior to him coming to you. I haven't been able to give him a bath for months. He's just too big to wrestle. We are slowly working with the water phobia by going to the dog park where there is a lake. He is now running through the water. Hopefully soon he'll be tolerant of baths. I'll end this bit with a personal note, that I am glad we came across this pup. He has been a great addition to the family, and has surely brightened our lives, having it dimmed with the loss of my 19 year old Shar Pei in January of this year. Rest assured that young Tegley is in great hands, and is getting lots of love and attention at his new forever home. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to the furry cuties. And you can see that young Mr. Tegley has been growing quite a bit! Its not a good representation of his size, he is twice the size of precious now. He's doing great. Thanks so much for all you guys do for the animals in the valley. We love our new pack member. he's napping with our old girl. This is Mr. Tegley and 11 months old, snuggling with Precious 14 years old. And you can see he's wagging his tail."
