Everyone Loves a Makeover!Update on Metrocenter’s Nirvana In Progress
The Metrocenter makeover continues to move forward. Scheduled for completion by holiday 2006, the renovation of this Phoenix icon includes an improved interior, exterior, upgraded amenities and new stores.
Here is an update of some of the things to come…
Entrances
Entrance tiles and light towers are complete. Check out each of the five entrances and how their colored stone strips on the plazas match the light towers up above on the mosaic blue tiling. The entrances are designed to help shoppers recall where they parked. Additionally, all new doors have been installed at each entrance. The plazas and Metrocenter lettering on the entrance overhangs are still in the works, so keep your eye out for them to arrive soon!

Interior
Newly furnished seating areas will be placed throughout the mall to enhance the comfort level for our shoppers. Upgraded lighting, landscaping and complete repainting of the mall with a fresh color palette are further additions being made to the interior.

New Soft Seating in Dillard’s Court
The Dancing Waters fountain is currently being removed to make room for a much needed entertainment court. This revitalization of the Dillard’s court will make more room for community partners to hold events, as well as offer additional relaxing soft seating areas for our shoppers.
Food Court
Construction has begun! This newly designed food haven will have all new terazzo tile flooring and a wood finish ceiling. Sectional banquettes and bar seating, new chairs, tables and upholstered bench seating will add to the modern flare of this favorite mall spot.

Community Room
An all new community room will be available for use this holiday season. Located near the food court, the community room will seat up to 100 people classroom style.
Restrooms
The restrooms in the food court will be redesigned to enhance the revitalized look which will match the new food court. Light blues, silvers and greens of the restrooms refreshed color palette will complement the blue mosaic tiled partitions dividing the different areas. There will be a furnished
entry lounge, an all new nursing room, two new family restrooms and expansions of both the men’s and women’s existing restrooms.
Kids Play Area
Embrace yourself… and your children for an all new play area arriving just in time for the holiday season! Innovative nad futuristic, the new “Sky Mall” theme will provide children with more adventures and parents more time to relax.
